Low key Saturday night at Platinum

I visited Platinum for the first time in quite a while a couple of Saturdays ago. Went there after a hockey game, arriving at its strip mall location about 11 PM, paid the $10 cover, and was surprised to see a rather sparse crowd once I got inside. Figured it was because the weather was finally turning a bit warmer.

Glad to see they still served a decent array of drinks available, including iced tea (overpriced at $6, of course, but what do you expect?), so I grabbed a bottle and settled into a chair to check out the sights. The club has a single long central stage, immediately surrounded by chairs at the rail, and then by a couple of rows of 2 person tables. One wall has a number of booths that looked to be able to seat 4 people. There was also popcorn available near the front of the club, at what looked to be a lunch buffet type of table.

Seemed to be about 15 dancers there that night, mostly white, about a third of them minorities. The stage was usually occupied by two dancers at a time, staying up there for 4 songs apiece, overlapping each other by two songs. The talent that night skewed heavily towards the slim side, most in the 6-7 range on my scale. My personal preference runs toward curvier girls, so your mileage may vary. It's a topless club, with pasties covering dancer nipples, which takes away some of the allure, in my book.
