Good Times For The Mid-Week

Club 390 is pretty legit. I went in at about 11pm last Wednesday to check it out. Place is nice and clean, easy to get to, free parking and (at the time) a $5 cover and mandatory coat check. Pretty classy and it looks like they work to keep it that way. I saw some of the floor guys consistently cleaning tables and keeping the seating in line so nothing ever looked out of place or cluttered. Waitresses are good if you flag them down, but don't bother or hustle you if you're not actively drinking. DJ was cool, just announced the girls and kept the tunes at a reasonable volume, which I appreciate. Nothing's worst than trying to chat with or get info from a dancer and you can't hear her over the racket.

I got in, got a drink and sat to scope things out. Talent was about 50/35/15 chocolate/vanilla/latina, though I'm not 100% because the girls move around a lot. While I'm sure I saw at least a dozen different faces, there were usually only 5-7 on the floor/stage at any given time. Still, considering there were maybe 10-12 guys in & out most of the night (quartet of frat boys and the usual older fellas) I'd say that's pretty good.

Just one active stage when I was there, but they had someone up there continuously for the whole ~2 hours. Probably saw 15+ 3-song sets in that time. On slow nights, the stage seems really hit/miss. A couple girls probably pulled $50+ in a set, but most had just a couple admirers. Maybe five went up and got basically nothing. Dance quality was pretty good considering the small crowd. No one phoned it in and when there were guys stage-side, most of the girls were attentive and intimate.
