One Flashy Dancer

Flash Dancers is in a low end commercial area on the west side of Jacksonville. It’s a pretty rough looking area, but not scary, at least not in the daytime. There was plenty of parking in the potholed parking lot next to the building. No doorman or cover charge at 1:30 p.m.

There were six guys at the bar: a couple of older PLs, a couple of guys wearing ties that looked like they were taking a long lunch break, and a guy who looked like Dog the Bounty Hunter (that is, what I think Dog the Bounty Hunter will look like in 10 more years if he gets fat and out shape) sitting with a short biker looking dude.

I ordered a beer from the pleasant bar tender, which resulted in her putting one in front of me and a second one in a pitcher of ice next to it as they were having a two-for-one happy hour. Good deal. Two beers for $4.00. It’s hard to beat that price anywhere except a grocery store.
