While visiting Seattle a couple of weeks ago I stopped in late on a Friday night. For the last couple of years I'd seen this place on the top ten list and wanted to find out what it was all about. The club is a 15 minute ride north from downtown and fairly easy to find. The parking for this club is located behind the club as is the main entrance. The lot is fairly well lit but I did not see any evidence of security. After paying my cover charge, I was forced to wait in a holding area while larger parties that arrived after I did were seated. Finally I was escorted by a waitress to a seat right in front of one of the two stages. I ordered my $5.00 glass of juice and was ripped off by the waitress for a $3 tip when she said she only had 2 ones as change for my ten dollar bill. For the next hour I was forced to play musical chairs when I was asked three times to please move left or right so they could seat multiple parties. None of the dancers smiled while on stage and none of them came by the front row to ask for dances. The girsl were doing two dance sets before moving to the left for the next stage. Just as I was getting ready to "blow this clam joint" one dancer "Bernadette" asked me for a dance. I had to pay $30 up front for an OK dance. Not much contact but at least she waited for the next song to start. I ventured another $30 to see if the 2nd dance would be any better but it was just the same as the first. I got up and left not believing that I would find a single seat any where near the stages. Not the worst club I've been in but not the best either and not worth $30 for a dance. Maybe this is the best Seattle has to offer but I can not see why it was on the top ten list for those many months. I've been in better clubs in Mt.Joy Iowa!
