Waste of Talent and Time
Was directed to Headlights by the waitress at Hot Seat (a review for which will be filed SEPCOR). "Meh" exterior, inside the door there was a reception table where my ID was scrutinized for my age (ha!) and a metal detector I had to pass through for entry. $7 cover. There are two sides beyond the desk; one to the left for topless dances and VIP, and the one to the right for the bar. I went right. Attractive brunette was dancing but getting no attention, but then she wasn't even braless. The upshot here is drinks are CHEAP: $3.95 for imported bottled beer, and $2 for soft drinks. The interior is tired, and not an inspired layout. I got a little interest from a dancer or two sitting on the floor, but none that struck my fancy. A tall, attractive blonde was sitting at the bar, and I went over to check her out. She was only 20, so I didn't have to pay for a lady drink. Terrible conversationalist, but great body. I tried to keep a straight face when she said that dances were $35 each. You're just not going to get that kind of service here.
Headlights was a fine bar to sit and swill cheap drinks; as a sailor; I appreciate that. But you'd have to have more money than sense to buy a dance, even with above average girls working the floor. Swing and a miss, Norfolk.
