A surprising return visit to Subi’s
I had not visted any club for several months, and we all know that eventually we have to scratch the itch. My opportunity came on a Friday afternoon after a meeting in Detroit ended earlier than expected, giving me a couple of free hours. Subi’s was nearby, and despite mostly lackluster visits in the past it was clearly the best option.
I parked in the $6 (plus tip) valet lot. You can park on the neighborhood streets, which I prefer, but did not want to spend time looking for a space. It was very dark inside, much darker than I remembered, and it took awhile for my eyes to adjust. No cover at 4 pm, and no booth fee. I grabbed a booth, which I recommend here - the only worthwhile times I have had here started in a booth. There appeared to be about 10 other patrons in the place with plenty of open booths against the far wall. It took about 5 minutes for an apparently mute waitress to take my drink order. She was tall, with dark hair, and never said a word to me the whole time I was there. RSo much for hospitality. I ordered a glass of red wine, and while waiting I was approached by a well endowed blonde “waitress” who intoduc d herself as Harley, a name I had heard mentioned in TUSCL reviews. She very quickly made it clear that waitressing was not the only way she made money at Subi’s. I was a bit put off by her aggressive approach, and she just wasn’t my type. While she clearly enjoys being behind the curtain, I just could not get interested. And I re-learned an lesson - do not order wine at Subi’s. It’s poor quality, and you get about 6 ounces for about $10. Go to Flight Club if you want to drink wine. It was the only drink I had.
The were 10 - 15 woman dancing. Overall the quality was better than any of my other Subi visits, averaging between a 6/7. I saw 4 AA dancers, who were for the most part were the best looking of the group. The aforementioned Harley also danced - not bad at all! And I was starting to second guess my decision. However while I watched her a nice looking AA approached and asked to sit with me. She had long red tinted braided hair, wore glasses, and said she was 31. I bought her a shot ($14 I think - the mute waitress was not very helpful). We chatted for about ten minutes and she used her skillful hands to get me interested in more than talk. Another benefit of a booth at this place. She explained what I already knew - there were two lap dances areas: one in the “open” and the other curtained private booths. Dances were $25 in the private booths, and there was no entrance fee. She stated a clear preference for the curtains and promised a “full service”opportunity. We negotiated $150, and I explained that unfortunately I was no longer “Don Juan”, but I hoped we would both enjoy the “opportunity”.
