Worth it for a change of pace

Playboy is always on my list of stops in TJ. First things first, it's not like the tourist-centric bars (HK, Adelitas, Chicago). Playboy is mostly the local crowd. None of the girls will speak English. Beers are $4, girl beers are $8. Water or soda is $5 (go figure).

I like to walk in and sit immediately at the bar. This gives you the chance to survey the scene, number of girls, any good looking girls, etc before committing to staying. On a weekday, there may be 3-4 other customers, a few girls sitting on the coach across from the bar, and maybe a girl on stage. The rest will be in the back, so don't assume those are the only girls there. On a weekend, after midnight it's packed with customers (locals) and lots of girls. The vibe is much different.

Girl Quality: you'll be hard-pressed to find 9's and 10's. But there are all body types and don't assume these are just leftover chicas that can't cut it in the bigger clubs because a lot of them have good service or looks. From speaking to them, they don't like the hustle and bustle of the big clubs.
