Grave yard

I think I have finally learned my lesson. After over a decade of visiting this club, this last visit was my final straw. I know, never say never, and what was once an amazing place continues to draw me in, I have finally come to realize its not going to get better. Silver Reign is a great location, especially if you live or work in west LA. The club is small, cozy, intimate, but without the talent, makes the club less than desirable. Yes, the club doesn't offer specials, the songs are almost always cut short, and the one and only true private area is a sofa located in the back behind a planter/short wall. Its dark, and if you slide all the way to the left, can be intimate, but not ideal. But lastly, is the lack of talent, that ultimately drives one to realize its jumped the shark. In years past, the talent more than made up for the facilities challenges. There remains one dancer left from the heyday, and yes, she has been there what, 15 years now? This trip, similar to all the others, there was ONE dancer, or maybe the others just didn't feel like being on the floor making money. Who knows. The last two trips, one dancer on the fall, went on stage and was not someone I was going to ask to dance. The one regular, just old(er) and while still looks good, just tired and worn, but hey, who wouldn't after almost two decades of dancing. In summary, this place for some reason having a very hard time recruiting good, new, younger dances. Now this was the afternoon, so maybe the evenings are better, but no way do I plan to show up any time soon. Expensive but not worth it any longer. My opinion, but I think others that have been here will confess, Silver Reign was one of the top clubs in years past, amazing talent almost across the board, dances while always short and expensive, with most of the dancers, very worth it. Day or night, worth it. Now? Pass, save your money.
