Not Happening

I'm in the middle of a four-day clubbing binge in La Zona Norte and will post more detailed reviews of other places later. Just wanted to toss one off (so to speak) about this place because I won't be coming back and this is all I have to say.

I got tired of trying to fight the crowds at Hong Kong and ventured out to try some other clubs nearby. I had never been to this place and decided to see what it was about. As I walked from HK, I was greeted on the opposite corner of the street by a Dulce Gabbana mesero who asked if I was headed there. He was thrilled when I said yes (he said it was his first day) and he told me all of the virtues of the place as we walked. As other clubs will do, he ushered me in and insisted I take a brief tour.

It was a pretty nice place, but there was only one girl dancing on the stage, about six more sitting at the bar with their backs to the bar watching the stage – and not a single customer other than me. Keep in mind that this was about 10:00 on a Saturday night, prime time, when HK was absolutely packed to the rafters. I spent about two minutes chatting with the girls at the bar, who knew no English, and then high-tailed it out of there. They were pleasant, friendly and not unattractive, but they probably would not have made HK's B team.
