downtown Silk

This review is for the downtown Silk location, not the one on Silver Spring. Not sure why there is a separate entry for the newer, downtown location.

This was about my 4th visit to the club. Upon entry another customer handed me a pass (nice!) so I avoided the $10 cover. I was there from about 9-10 pm and back again from midnight until 1:30 am. Domestic bottles of beer were $6 before tip. The decor of the place is very nice, almost as nice as I've seen. Since I tend to find myself in lower end joints it doesn't take a lot to impress me with decor.

There were at least 20 girls there at the peak time. Maybe 25-30. Mostly 6s-8s. Maybe one or two 9s but with GPS to match. This was the busiest I have seen the club. The Brewers and Bucks both played on this day so that led to the crowds. The vibe was pretty cool. Drinks flowing among the customers. I didn't notice if many dancers were drinking. There are quite of few employees - all guys which I'm not a fan of. Maybe one cocktail waitress but all the bartenders and guys collecting money for dancers, bouncer types, etc. make for a lot of meatheads mulling about the place. Since it was busier on this trip they blended in reasonably well. They did have to kick out one dude that was rude/sprayed water on a dancer. The dancer proceeded to bitch slap the customer. He had it coming.
