not great

I was at Rickey's from about 10 to midnight last week. $5 cover to enter. Had a few domestic bottles of beer which I think were $5.

I am a pretty easy grader but this place was not great, on this night anyway. I have been there about 5 times in the past few years. In the past I've generally had a better time. The vibe of the place is pretty lame. I'm not looking for big personalities that make you feel welcome in a club but the door guy is a no words type of guy and the female bartender isn't much better. The lights are turned up too high, they need to dim them a bit more.

When I arrived there were about 5 girls and maybe two more rolled in before I left. In general, the dancers were not cute, older and too big. There was one with a decent body but she was pretty stand offish and kinda rude. I did get a dance from the only pretty hot one in the place, Lola. Her dance was good but she was trying to inflate prices so it was one and done with her. I hate to come off so negative but this place was not working for me at all. I'd try it again on a future visit but the owners could do some things to improve the vibe and attitude here. As the only black club in Milwaukee the playing field is wide open. The limiting factor for the club's future is that the neighborhood is bad so some customers just won't venture that way.
