Not a Bad Way to Spend a Saturday Afternoon

Bourbon Street Circus (BSC) is still one of the nicer clubs in the Phoenix area and can be a lot of fun with the right dancer. As other reviews have said, there is no cover charge if you're there before 5pm, and they run drink specials all day - until 7pm I think. After entering at about 2:30pm and finding a table towards the VIP section, the waitress quickly came over and took my order for a Stella. $4. Can't beat that, plus a little tray of popcorn to go with it. The place is almost always dark, but all the better to see the entertainment on stage and the TVs. Its March Madness, and so having a couple big TVs with the games and the dancers all around, it was a pretty nice spot to watch my bracket get obliterated. But at least I scored with a great dancer, Chloe. She's a little spinner with a great personality. She approached not too long after I received my drink and we sat at my table for a few songs while I finished my Stella. She didn't pressure or even push for dances but seemed interested (I know, that's her job) to talk for a bit while she sat on my lap. Most of the girls there will do the same - sit on your lap for a few songs and talk - if you ask them. They know that their odds of getting us back to the VIP area where dances are $20/song (no entrance fee - it's just a walk up area with private booths against the walls) is much greater if they wiggle a little on your lap while laughing at our stupid jokes to make us think we're funny and charming. Some genuinely do have interest though and aren't just nodding and giggling for the tip. Chloe's like that. We talked for a while and then strolled up the four or five stairs to the VIP area, found a booth and got started. She gives great dance - lots of grinding, touching and fun talk while doing her moves. I hadn't planned on spending as much time up there as we did, but she was worth it. YMMV. This stop at BSC was supposed to be a short stop on my way to the next place to finish up watching the NCAA games, but when the dancer is right, I've always been told, let her dance. There were quite a few other hot dancers there as well, but I didn't have any of the others dance for me due to my time constraints. You can always count on a bevy of insanely hot dancers at BSC, even during the afternoon where the March Madness in Phoenix is in full swing.
