Visited: Thursday After Midnight

I arrived at Temptations just before midnight on a Thursday night. When I arrived, I was charged $15 for cover and patted down by a security guard.

The layout of the club is pretty simple - a large stage at the front, two smaller stages to the left and right of it (not in use during my visit), and two still smaller circular stages on the floor. There are circular tables all over the main floor, and some large booths in back. There is a VIP area tucked away in the corner in near-total darkness; there are several booths back here, and the arrangement allows for some privacy. There were about 20-30 patrons in the club during my visit. There were about 10 to 12 dancers working; most were in the 5-7 range. There were about six to eight white dancers and four AA dancers, all in at least pretty good shape.

The club is BYOB, though they did have soft drinks available for $5 and a champagne special for $40. There was only one waitress on duty, but she was attentive and stopped by every 10 to 20 minutes to make sure I didn't need anything. The manager also stopped by a couple of times to try to sell me on the champagne special; I wasn't interested, but the manager was courteous and not an annoyance.
