The club's atmosphere is more like a bar or a club in my opinion. Ames, IA doesn't allow any touching to happen which is definitely part of the problem. Besides that though, the place is pretty good. None of the music they were playing was weird and it was at the volume you'd expect for a club. It didn't seem sketchy at all either, everyone was pretty chill.
Most of the girls are college age (it's a college town so it makes sense) and overall they're quite friendly. There were around half a dozen, give or take. They all seemed like they enjoyed being there too (hell, they're getting paid more than any of their friends so why wouldn't they be?). Basically all of them were white, I don't think there were any that were people of color, but I think that they do employ some so maybe they just had the night off. Some of the dancers go for some cool moves on the poles so overall that's nice as well.
I personally know someone who works there and I have a buddy who goes regularly for drinks. The prices for drinks are pretty good and they typically have deals going on. Last week they had a deal where you get a big glass of vodka lemonade for $3 all night which is a damn good deal for bar prices. I didn't get a lap dance so I can't speak for their prices, but people tend to tip at the main stage just like any other strip club, nothing too flashy but also not cheapskates.
Would recommend if you don't mind that the girls are all dressed throughout the experience. Like I said earlier, I can't speak for private dances, but I know they have fined people in the past for causing issues. Don't try to get the dancers to go too far since they definitely have had to crack down in the past years and the girls probably use this money to pay for school. Overall I'd go back if only for the drink prices and the nice ambiance.
