Old and Improved, Worth a Stop
Finished up some business on the west side of town at about 4:00 p.m. and decided to check out Fannie’s as I hadn’t been there in more than 6 months. There are a lot of changes at Fannie’s, mostly for the better, starting with large section of new brick by the front door where I am told somebody ran into the building with a vehicle. For some season it’s not painted to match the rest of the building.
Stepping inside, the bar is to the left and there’s a long narrow stage that parallels the bar. This used to be the main stage (I think), but there is a second stage in the back that has now been expanded, so it might be considered the main stage now.
Most of the furniture has been replaced. It is by no means high end stuff. This place is still a dive, but at least most of the upholstery is intact on most of the furniture now.
