Friday Afternoon at Fancy's

Stopped in on the Friday after Mardi Gras. The inside ad board was showing that it was Fatt Friday. The bartender/manager, Heather, was handing out party face masks to all the dancers who hadn't been there on Fat Tuesday. The day had been given a special title but there weren't any beer or drink specials being offered to get the customer in a celebratory mood.

It had been a while since I was in on a Friday or even in the club at all. There were some new faces - Barbie, Infinity, and Bianca - plus the usual group of long-timers. Barbie came over from a competitor and said she did so because the money was better at Fancy's. I didn't talk to Infinity but many of the customers seem to know her. Bianca danced there over 15 years ago and said she was trying to make a come back.

By 1:30pm there were enough dancers working that all 3 stages were in use. From this customer's viewpoint, there is no need for the 3rd stage. Several of the ladies I talked to said they felt the same way. They said they forget about moving to it and hate getting called out by the DJ when they don't go there. They also said it inhibits their ability to sit with customers and get some dances from them.
