My First Time at the Tacoma Vu

I have avoided Tacoma Clubs for a very long time as the reviews have not been very good. However they are much closer to me so I finally broke down and decided to give it a shot. I got there last Friday night about 10 and was surprised to see the parking lot quite full. Encouraging!

You walk into the small entry room and pay your admission. $20–10 to get in and 10 for drinks. I like that it’s unlimited refills.

The main area is arranged like a large box, and you enter at the bottom left corner. It has multiple tiers with the lap area farthest back from the main stage about ten steps up from where you entered. Along the wall below the lap area is bench seating as well as along the two sides of the stage. If you step down again you come to the table and chairs around the stage. The bar and bathrooms are all the way to the back, and there is a second small stage in back of the bar. It’s almost like an alcove and hardly anyone was back there.
