Thursdays Only

Although SR recently raised its VIP prices to absurd levels on most days, they retained $140 curtained 30 minute VIPs on Thursdays. This remains a good deal. Remarkably, the two afternoons I have visited on Thursdays since the price changes have been uncrowded by PLs (maybe 4-5 total in that big room) and well-populated by dancers (maybe 9-12) including some of the hot & popular ones like Candy, Makayla, Sugar, Genie, etc. This is a good clubbing combination, obviously. Still not a steady rotation of girls on stage (though compared to SR Van Nuys aka "the Dead Rhino" it is a non-stop parade), but when I sat at the rail the DJ actually started putting them up. I feel like the price increases have hurt business, as the girls seem to be working the floor and hustling a bit more. I find Rhinos have the least "wanna dance" fly-bys, and their girls understand (or may be trained) that offering a little conversation and lap sitting is welcomed by many PLs. It certainly helps sell a dance to me. For example I found Candy's look a bit too Barbie-esque for my taste, but after a little conversation found her very likeable and pretty smart, a contradiction of the Barbie and porn star (which she is) stereotypes. Makayla is another nice conversationalist with a lot more range than lazy "what do you do for fun/you're so handsome/my car needs fixing" stripper shit you get at clubs like Synn. Of course I club for 10-15 minutes of conversation and 30 minutes of lap dance, and fortunately most of the SRCOI girls I've tried are really good performers in that department as well. This club does have a lot of pushy and GPS girls, and does often require some rug merchant haggling (that should be done on the floor rather than once they get you burning clock in the VIP); and I must admit I increase my usual tip range by $20-50 for extras, because that's just the market in this club and these girls are generally hot enough for me to rationalize it. But anyone paying sums like $100 for a HJ, $150 for a BJ or $300 for FS - as you see in BI reviews all the time - just must be weak in their PL game. Hold the line and you will eventually get acceptable pricing for your desires, although you may have to walk away a time or two. So overall, as long as you go on a Thursday to take advantage of the specials, and you bargain wisely, this place is a dream. Otherwise, it can piss you off and send you to the poor house awfully fast.
