It only takes one

The final strip club stop on my Florida trip was Bare Assets in Holiday on Thursday Feb 21, 2019 from about 4:30 to 5:45 pm. On US19 just north of the Pasco County line the main parking was pretty full but plenty of room in the overflow lot further back. Sort of a “L” shaped building with the entrance on one of the shorter ends on the street side. No cover, sign said $5 7 to 9pm, $10 after 9, 2 drink minimum but that didn’t particularly seemed to be enforced. Dark inside, took a while for eyes to adjust after bright sunshine outside. Smoking is allowed and they sell cigars but cigar smoking not allowed in all areas. The day shift manager, a big fat guy, introduced himself and shook my hand. The rest rooms are to the left as you enter and the stage to the right, with chairs along the rail and tables back form it. The bar is further along into the club with tables opposite it. Not much of a view of the stage from the bar. At the far back is a small stage and what looks like a VIP seating area, neither used while I was there.

The bartender and waitresses were busy, efficient but not pushy. I had orange juice for $4, mostly ice. There was a small free buffet set out, don’t know what was on it. There were a few TV’s showing sports.

Pretty crowded when I got there, about 30 customers mostly blue collar types. Probably the after work crowd and it had thinned out somewhat by the time I left. Also some senior citizens, which category I belong to, but some of these guys looked a lot older than me. There were about a dozen dancers, as counted when they did a roll call at about 5:30. A variety of age and size, mostly white, one kind of heavy, one very young who said she had only been dancing for 3.5 months. The stage is rather odd being barely off the ground and surrounded by high rails with mirrors. Seems almost like standing by the boards at a hockey rink. Dancers did 2 song sets with most getting nude in the second song. Songs seemed normal length.
