No shine

I found myself staying on the "other side" of the bay for the first time in years, and went to a couple clubs, Oz and this one. DDs seems to have pretty favorable reviews. After my visit, I'm not sure why. Maybe it was slow between 8:40 and 9:40 pm, but it looked like there was a continuous shift change going. About 20 guys and 10 gals, then around 9:15, about 12 guys and maybe 6 or 7 gals. Maybe it gets busy around 2 am.

Cover is $7, a Heineken is only $3. So that part was good. When I walked in, it looked like half the girls were with one group of guys, another was going through the motions on the big X-shaped stage (topless only but I guess that's how it goes when you have booze here). One gal was dancing for several songs in one of the birdcage like stages (up front), while the birdcage next to the bar (at the very back) was vacant. A couple girls were sitting with what appeared to be regulars. Except for one WOC who was pretty blubbery, most of the girls were white or Latina. I'd rate them 7 at best, though there was one tall blonde with a nice body but whose hair and face reminded me of Forrest Gump's love of his life, Jenny, when she was getting ready to jump from a balcony. A couple idiots were throwing dozens of singles on stage but in general there wasn't much tipping (and not really much to tip for).

After about 45 minutes of sitting there with no conversation, one gal named Aria (a plain but pleasant and sweet-tempered, decently endowed brunette) came up, asked how I was enjoying myself, said she was changing and was going to come back out shortly. About 20 minutes later, she didn't come out again - she may well have changed into regular clothes and headed home. I decided I would do the same. In summary - a few girls with regulars, a few on iPhones, didn’t see anybody going to VIP. Meh. Soul deadening. Not recommended. Headed to Oz and had a better time.
