Thursday Night Fun

After looking on the club’s website, I see that one of my favorite dancers is in town dancing so I make my way to Fargo to see her. I arrive at 5:30 or so. $10 cover at the door where the gal checks your ID against a master list of “bad guys” who have been thrown out. No dancers on stage yet, so I’m at the bar getting a soda water/lemon from Carl the bartender. Two young, loud, obnoxious gals come in and stop and sit at the bar next to me. One wants to make small talk, but thank goodness my dancer friend, Monroe sees me and comes over to save me.

Monroe comes to the club from the West Coast to dance every so often for a couple of weeks. We always have fun visiting, so I buy her and drink and we head over the west side wall to sit. After catching up on things we head to the couch lounge for several songs and dances. Miss Monroe gives some of the most intimate dances that I ever get at any club, yet always respecting the rules in this club which are pretty strict on touching.

So we head out to see her do her stage set. Kind of a small crowd of players, but lots dancers, but only a few that I like, but I only have eyes for Monroe tonight. So it’s back to the couches where Monroe basically empties my wallet. But with her it is always worth it. She may not be back for a few months.
