Pleasantly surprised given recent reviews

I know this place has had poor reviews in the past, and often when someone leaves a positive review they are heckled. Well get ready to heckle me I guess.

I haven't been here for quite a while, but in the past I have always found one or two dancers that I have liked. Lately, I have seen more poor reviews of this place, but I was on my way home... not ready to go home... and they waive the door fee for veterans. I figured, worst case scenario I get a cold beer and verify the negative reviews.

The door/security guy checks my id (not scanned) and then mentions to me to make sure the girl at the register does not charge me a door fee, and then thanks me for my military service. I thought that was a nice touch. Then I went in and went to the register just inside the door. The girl had just finished collecting the door fee from three other guys and got them their first drinks. I showed her my id and she thanks me for my military service and informs me that there will be no door fee for me. Again, nice touch. Previously, I was annoyed by the selling of drinks at the door, but this time I appreciated it as the place was packed with patrons. It was nice not to have to wait on the first drink.

Ok, I know this next part sounds like a "club ad". Tonight the girls were beautiful. Maybe I was just overdue for a trip to a club. Not everyone was a 10 for me, but there were two that could have had my car if they would have asked for it. Even the ones that were not my "cup of tea" would probably have been someone else's choice.

When I arrived, there was a three-girl show in progress on the stage. All three even climbed the pole, as in all three on the pole at one time. They seem to have their act together. lol.
