This place was dead Sat afternoon

I came here Saturday afternoon and this place was dead. To be fair, Saturday afternoon is a pretty dead time at any club, but this place was really bad at that time. I didn’t get the chance to come back at a different time before I need to fly out, but i do plan to do that next time I am in town given some friends recommendations.

I got to the club around 3pm. It was really cold and I was lazy so I valeted even though I think you can find reasonable street parking nearby. There were 2 other customers at the club, and both look like they are >80 (I’m in my 40s). They each had a dancer sitting next to them, but there were no conversations; all four of the guys and girls just all sat there looking like they were constipated. The club is small/medium sized but again there were so few people. The dancer on stage was an overweight AA girl that kind of just walked around. So all in all it was not looking promising. I figured I already paid the valet and there may somehow be a decent girl in the shift, so I sat down. (Sigh I am just bad at knowing when to walk out of a bad situation).

This girl Kate/Cathy/whatever came by. Her outfit looked like torn pajama, and she looked like she just got out of bed ie minimal/no makeup and her hair was a mess. She was super spacey: she asked me the usual intro questions but her eyes kept staring off into the distance in the middle of her sentences. Her answers to my attempt at conversations (I was in a “be nice mood”) were mostly one word answers. So after about 3 minutes our conversations ground to a halt. Then we just sat there. Usually after a couple minutes the dancer would either try to chat again or ask about dances or leave. This one just sat there while we both obviously tried to ignore each other. After 10 min of this I was going to ask her to leave me alone, then her name is called. She got up without a word and got on stage. She’s enthusiastic but pretty uncoordinated so it was actually a little uncomfortable to watch. At least I was left in peace. But then an overweight girl came out of a room, fixed her eyes on me, and headed towards me. I sighed and got up and left.
