Better than expected, but still just okay

It has been a long time since I have visited Scarlett's. I have never visited in the afternoon, so I did not expect much. In fact, I did not think there would be anything going on and expected to pop in and leave.

When I arrived, I was correct in one sense, nothing was really happening. About four customers and for the most part, it was dead. I have to give management credit, they always had a dancer on the stage for their three song sets. I have been to some clubs that shut down the stage show when the customer count is low. At least Scarlett's appreciate those of us that did show up this afternoon.

I got my water and took my seat. To my surprise there were a few girls that were rather cute. I did not expect it, but there as one young AA that was quite bubbly and very nice to look at. She approached me and I mentioned that I had a few emails I had to answer, but as soon as I was finished with my business, then maybe. She very politely delayed her approach until I was finished and then approached me. We had a great conversation. She was a college student and just working her way through school. She was quite bright and the conversation was good. We finally went for a dance and that is when it just went flat. It was okay, but nothing all that all that interesting. We did a few songs, but it never changed. Eventually II called it quits.
