Something Different

I was looking for a little "adventure" given the somewhat sad state of local strip clubs lately, with all the GPS and changes from the new employee/independent contractor philosophy in California. This place certainly has a different vibe, though it's more "I'm a filthy pervert" than the "contemplate the futility of this place" feeling I've been getting in clubs lately. Venus Faire is an old-fashioned porn shop in front, with dancers and peep shows in a back section (which requires a $5 admission payment). Front is standard racks of porn CDs (who still uses those in the age of Internet?), skimpy outfits imported from China, and a shit-ton of sex toys. Back is a seedy addition of little rooms and a hall of lap dance booths in sort of a "sultan's tent" motif. There's a tiny "stage" (more like a big square of linoleum with a pole in the middle) surrounded by about 6 folding chairs; but never saw any one dancing or sitting there. I was the only customer, although it was pretty early in the day. I think there were also some porn video booths, but didn't check them out. There were like 4-5 girls sitting in little cubicles, looking at phones or actually reading physical books (textbooks I think). If the rouse themselves (and only two did for me), they offer either topless lap dances in the booths or nude "peep shows" where you sit in a little room watching through a glass panel (after a curtain drops). From what they described, they'll mostly show off and masturbate while you jack yourself off (assuming you don't care that there's not much privacy). I didn't even ask the cost of that, as I can do that at home for free. Lap dance areas are more private, but supervised by cameras and from my observation of the guy in front and what the girls said, you are watched. Dances are quite cheap by strip club standards: I think $40 for 1/2 hour, $20 for 15 minutes and even less per dance. Pay at front desk, and girls given a timer so legit timing. Dances were OK for topless, FFZ north and one girl let me slip fingers in under the panties. Girls were nothing stunning; pretty much standard local stripper selection of a couple thick Latinas, a young thin AA, an older white girl and a white (?) with a crapload of tattoos. Overall it was a decent experience, but nothing really compels me to come back. But I was compelled to take a shower after I got home, as it really made me feel like a dirty PL pervert going there. Oh well.
