I went to a dance not a fight.
For a Friday night, the place was dead. To be fair, bad weather was coming in, so I'm sure a lot of people decided to stay home. But there were only 5 girls there. I would have expected more. But, whatever. It's not the number that matters, but how much fun they are, right? Except they weren't very much fun. Half the time, the stage was empty. There is no DJ, so the girls pick their own songs from a jukebox and there was plenty of times the music would stop and it would be several minutes before anyone started a new song. Now, I'm a bit of a slow mover at the clubs. I like to sit at a table for a bit. I don't go up to the stage right away. But once I do, I'm ready to tip well. So, when I finally go to the stage, just as I sit down one of the dancers comes to the stage and starts yelling at the girl on stage. In turn, she starts yelling back, completely forgetting about me. They yell some more and it looks like it might get physical. I don't care what Hollywood shows in the movies, a cat fight isn't sexy at all. The other dancers step in between them and finally a large man (manager or bouncer?) comes over and tells them to knock it off. That settles them down but I've had enough. I leave the stage, go back to my table for a few minutes, but the mood has been killed. I leave 5 minutes later to go to another club.
