First Trip of the New Year

So I *almost* made it through January without a return to "the curcuit", but alas, as the light was fading on the last Tues. of the month, the idea of a beer and a Dance at the Clance"(y) was too compelling.

Either I had a better time with the holiday eggnog than I recall, or there were more new ladies there. I met both of the Lucy's, and spent a drink sitting at the bar, up close, getting to know each other. She's very friendly and comfortable to be with. To distinguish 'my" Lucy from the other, regular, not-my-new-friend-Lucy: My new freind wa about a 36C, with brown hair to her shoulders, the other Lucy was more petite overall, with longer almost black hair. I didn't actually get to meet any other new faces, as after two drinks at the bar, Lucy( #1) and I headed back for what turned out to be 4 dances. Again, very easy to be with, not mechanical in the slightest.

There were no dance names on the marker-board, so I can't help out with any other new names, but one other change I noticed was the group of very regulars at the West End of the bar was about 1/2 the size crowd as usual, and it seemed there were some new faces there as well. Could it be my favorite hangout is becoming "Popular" <shudder>. Heaven forbid. I am going to have to return sooner than 6 weeks to collect more data..and enough "customer points" with Lucy to arrange OTC.
