Re-acquainting

Heard from an old fav that she wanted to dance again, and asked if I could meet her at TD’s West for her first day “back”. I’ve been there maybe 5 times in the last 3 years, and all but once wound up just leaving with no dances, but knew that if my friend was there, it would be very worthwhile.

Walked in, and the club actually is pretty nice inside. Same big shoe-chair on the right hand stage, but there were accent lights hung (still from Xmas?), and tableclothes on many of the tables. Sat at the bar, and let my eyes adjust. Felt a tap on my shoulder, and it was my friend.

We sat and talked for 10-15 minutes, hands roaming, before she asked about dances in VIP.

She flagged down the bouncer (mgr?), who met us in VIP. The helpful info is that VIP dances are $20, and the entry charge was $22, and, he volunteered “plus whatever tip to get him to not keep coming in to check on us” - Very helpful! I tipped him another $5, and never saw him again.

We did about 5 songs with impunity and utter disregard for any watchful-eyes, til we were both happy, so I gave her the $100 plus $20 tip. Big smile, hug and kiss, and we chatted another song before I left.
