Now I know why I said I wouldn't go back

I was at Hak's only once before and was disgusted by the poor value for the dollar. At that time, I said I would not be back because I prefer the vibe and value of NJ and Philly clubs. At least I barely spent anything this time.

Business brought me to the Wilmington, DE area, and Hak's is the only game in town there. I thought I'd see what was up, but vowed to myself not to waste money if I didn't see something I liked. I got there, was wanded by the bouncer, and allowed in with no cover as it was before 5:00. I sat at the bar and every single girl was either on stage (1), sitting with other patrons (3), or being aloof and not talking to anyone (1). Besides the bartender, there were no other women there.

I got a bottle of water (yeah I know - hard core!) and watched the stage show. They don't even take their tops off, much less bottoms or flashing. It may be a rule in DE; I have no clue. It didn't really set the mood though. The bartender was sweet but carried an extra 75 pounds, though she did encourage leaving tips in her cleavage. The three stage shows I saw were not attractive women; around 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. The first came down for her tip walk and seemed to be either drunk or kind of stupid. We talked for a few minutes, she offered me a dance, I said not just now, and she moved on. The next just took my money and moved on. The third I didn't stick around for the end of her set.
