Still There In The Middle Of Nowhere!
I think this place has been here around fifteen years now, in spite of the problems with some folks in the Village of Sparland. If you drive by Fluffers when they are not open, the place is almost invisible. Part of their agreement with the Village is that there are no markings or signs on the building when they are not open. It's only on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights when the signs are turned on. The infamous pink wall on the west side of the building has been painted a boring brown to keep peace with the Village. So Fluffers is still open until 2:00 on Thursdays, and 4:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.
Inside, not much ever changes. Calling the place casual would be a nice description. Lots of guys in flannel shirts and jeans populate the audience. It's still BYOB. The guy that works the door has probably been there 80% of the times the place has existed, so you won't surprise him with some type of big-city bullshit.
If you want a fancier place, put your seat belt on for a ride. It's about 50 minutes to Kappa Kabanna (which I think is the best downstate club), 40 minutes to Club Cabaret or Pulse, or 30 minutes to Elliot's. If you go northeast, it's an hour to the Silver Slipper in Ottawa. There's nothing else near Fluffers, so it survives by filling a niche in the middle of nowhere.
