I've been to PT's in Louisville and some great clubs in other cities, but I wanted to try something different, so I went to the Pussycat Lounge last night, on a Saturday. Got there around 12:30 am. It was cold and rainy, so I didn't figure it was going to be packed, but I couldn't believe there were only me and 3 other guys in there, one of whom was talking to a girl at the bar, and the other 2 were sitting at tables on their cell phones. I walked in, no cover charge (which was nice), and they have a one drink minimum, so I went to the bar first. I ordered a bourbon on the rocks, the bartender (a fugly 250+ pound woman in her 50's) gave me a total of about 1 shot of Maker's Mark and 3 ice cubes, and said it was $8, which was overpriced for such a small drink, even for a club. They have 1 stage with a pole, and the rest of the club is 8 or 9 tables with those cheap stackable metal chairs, all away from the main stage. The whole place is the size of a fast-food joint, they have 2 spots for semi-private lap dances, and what looked like 1 or 2 VIP rooms behind black curtains. Everybody in the club can see each other since it's one big room, so everything is out in the open unless you go VIP. Most other clubs I've been to at least have some low walls around tables, or tall wing-back chairs etc., so people have a little privacy. They had about 6 girls listed as "working," and there was a decent-looking brunette finishing up on stage. I didn't see any other talent, so I sat down at a table since she was walking off. She walked right up to me and leaned down and asked if I'd buy her a drink and she'd come sit and talk with me. There wasn't anybody else around, so I said sure. Her name was Wednesday. They had a $3 beer special, she said she wanted a beer, so I gave her 3 bucks, she kissed me, and said she'd be back. She proceeded to take the 3$ and walk into the "employee only" area, and I never saw her again. I stayed at my table, the next girl called up on stage was named Passion, or something like that, and she was...."plus sized," to put it nicely. None of the guys in the club even came up to the stage to tip her, so she literally just sat down on the stage until the song finished, and walked off. It was pretty pathetic. Then 1-2 songs played without any girl on the stage, the DJ was introducing her by name, but nobody ever came out, so all of us just sat there awkwardly, until yet another plus-sized girl in her late 30's came out, made a half-assed attempt at a pole dance, got like 2$ from one guy, and walked backstage after 1 song. At that point, I had long since finished my 8$ sip of bourbon, blew 3$ on a girl for nothing, and had been in the place for 30 minutes without a single other attractive girl walking around. I just got up and left. The worst excuse for a strip club I have ever seen. If that's their Saturday night crowd, it's a miracle they stay in business.

Total time spent in club: 30 minutes

Money spent: $11.00
