Disappointing visit saved by one good experience

Most of my visits to Subi's have been in the afternoon, when there is no cover charge. Thus I was shocked when the doorman asked for a $20 entry fee. I don't mind paying an entry fee but that amount is higher than most of the other clubs in Metro Detroit and Subi's is more of a mid tier, neighborhood bar. Seemed seriously over priced. I contemplated leaving but I had managed to find a free parking space on the road adjacent to Subi's so I had avoided a parking valet fee so I reluctantly paid the entry fee and entered. I started to sit in one of the empty booths and the attendant immediately approached me and asked for a $20 booth rental fee. I declined and moved to the padded bench seating that surrounds two sides of the stage. One of the reasons that I like Subi's in the afternoon is that the booths offer a bit of privacy and some of the dancers are not shy about fondling when sitting at the booth. Thus, this visit was not off to a good start.

There were two dancers on stage at all times but the talent was disappointing. Probably 10-12 dancers on duty and most of them were a bit on the heavy side and not especially attractive. There were a few exceptions and I flagged down a slender dancer who performed well on stage. We chatted for a while at my relatively dark sitting area. The conversation was pleasant and it included some hands over pants fondling. We discussed a trip to the private dance area in the back but she went on stage and took about 15 minutes after her stage routine to find her way back to me. She did this one more time, disappearing after we had essentially agreed on a private dance, so I decided to cut my losses and I asked an attractive multi-racial woman to join me. She was the only other dancer who was reasonably attractive, given my preference for more slender, athletic bodies. We also had a pleasant conversation as she slipped her hands into my pants to emphasize her sales pitch for a private dance. We arranged a reasonably priced visit to the private dance area and I left a happy customer.

I was in the club for nearly 2 hours and it would have been a wasted visit had it not been for the final dancer, it would have been a wasted and over priced visit.
