It had been a while

It had been a while since I had been to Hour Place, in fact not since it was called Steppin' Out, so I decided to make the trek up to Jay late on a Saturday night. I was a little bummed to still be hit up for the $10 cover charge at 11:30pm and even pointed it out that it seemed a little steep for getting there that late (they close at 1am). Grabbed myself a soda from the bar and then made my way to a seat along the wall towards the back.

Much like ti was when it was Steppin' Out, it's a pretty well lit place, although the back corners get a little darker with a little less of a feel that everyone is watching you get a lap dance. They've definitely done some remodeling in there, still have the pool tables up front by the bar, bathrooms to the right as you come in the door, main "stage" which is really more like a dance floor, comfy chairs around the wall, and less comfy chairs at tables between the wall and the dance floor. Other than a general facelift (new floors, chairs, paint, etc), the biggest remodel appears to be the semi-private "Lingerie Lounge" (which didn't exist before) and the private rooms.

I got there well after the floor dances were over, so girls were walking around in various states of undress, most of them fully nude as they made their way from one lap dance to another and just walking around the club. I was approached by one girl for a dance and I can't say no to a pair like those, so I went for it and she had me sit at one of the tables between the wall and the dance floor. We talked for a moment as she explained the dance options: $20/song out in the main room and $20/song in the Lingerie Lounge plus $10 at the door. I hadn't been in to the Lingerie Lounge, so I went for it.
