Checking out the new digs
So, I just had to check out how they did the move come out, actually visited over three days earlier and later in the evenings.
The facilities as such are basically a refresh of the Private Eyes space and layout with no really major substantial change -- as mentioned there are now two rather than one bikini dance spots at the bar, and the topless area seemed not as far sunk as it used to be, plus the stage is slightly smaller and set off a little more from the basic lap benches. Got myself a tour of the upgrade room, again the layout remains along the lines of old PE, a set of semi-priv booths along the wall and two at the end that may be curtained off. The semi-privs were quoted at $700/h if paid with credit card in prime time, includes a serving of drinks, does not require getting an additional bottle service. Saw only one booth in use during the tour, and at those prices I can't blame them. There's apparently still also the "blue rooms" which run over $2K and if someone crowdfunds me I'll find out what that's like.
From conversation with the various dancers there was a certain staff culling once they went down from 3 to 2 locations, they are required to do one night a week down at Flashdancers Downtown a.k.a. NY Dolls, or else do extra shifts at Midtown. The dancers remain high quality, diverse, and articulate for conversation as before. They were quite sensible about you wanting to wait for later or not wanting to order them drinks, and were appreciative of those of us who bothered with stage tipping (but please, dudes, it's Manhattan: up the base amount). Spent a long time sitting with a Colombian lady named Coco and she was fun company in between dances as well as during.
