Exceeded Expectations
Positive first experience. I will return, but important to keep expectations in check - this is a small club in the Bronx, not a palace in Vegas.
Showed up solo on a Friday night. $20 cover charge, no hassle from the bouncers, in I went. Club atmosphere is lively. Club is essentially built around the bar - the layout / interior is just OK; definitely not "high end", but also not outright bad / worn out, so fine by me. Bartenders were working hard, and overall were cheerful and friendly. Drinks were $10-12 per mixed drink, which felt a little expensive since they're not large drinks, but they poured full shots so no complaints. Music was on the louder side compared to other clubs, but DJ was solid. Mixed crowd, but not as high on the "thug factor" as I expected.
The primary stage area is behind the bar, and there are always 1-2 ladies working / twerking away between the poles, so best play is just to sit at the bar and enjoy the show. Didn't count how many total dancers there were, but there were a decent number of ladies walking between the stage and the bar itself - they'll chat you up, dance a little against the stage, and ask about lap dances. Only real complaints are (a) it's a smaller club than most, so less variety / action overall, and (b) you're a bit far from the action, as you can't be right up against the stage as at other clubs, but several of the dancers got on the bar to give mini-shows to customers that were tipping well, which does compensate somewhat.
