The Prada Palace
I have been coming to this club since the early 2000s. It's had its ups (Spencer, Carolyn, Angela, Mina, Buena, Paradise, Lolita) and downs (shall remain nameless), but overall has been a reliable place to spend days and dough. Lately, it's been to spend both with Prada, an African-American bundle of fun and funkadelic. Prada tends to repeat a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off schedule. More on her in a paragraph or so. Admission, during the day, is $14, including a drink ticket. In the afternoons, there are usually one to five girls working. Often, I'm either the only customer in the place, or one of two or three. There's not much dancing on stage. It's more about one-on-one stuff, either on a couch in back, or upstairs in a semi-private cubicle. Through the years, I've tried upstairs several times -- but it's always been a disappointment -- for the money. $200 for 15 minutes. For that amount, I can see the hottest erotic massage girl in town for an hour. And I do. But it's nice to have someone who is a good conversationalist and an enthusiastic lap dancer on a couch for five pretty long songs for $125. That's Prada. She's got a great sense of humor. She likes to talk. And she likes to push the boundaries. I look forward to seeing her every time I go in, and she never disappoints. Best of all, she's enjoyable to be around whether we're getting sweaty on a couch, or laughing at how neurotic her dog is. If you're there on a day Prada's in town, I highly recommend her. As a dancer. And as a person.
