Not a looker in the bunch this time
I should preface my review by stating I visited during the week in between Xmas and New Year's. But still, I did go on a Saturday night (the 29th to be exact) at around 11:30pm...so it should not have been that terrible.
While there were a decent amount of patrons, it was fatassville here the night I went. The best girl capped out at a 6, and there were some faces I recognized from quite some time ago. It seems new dancers is a citywide problem. My take on this is too many millennial women in Toronto are morally repulsed by the idea of stripping, versus previous generations. In the past, maybe 20% of all women identified as feminists. For the millennial generation, that number may be as high as 50% or 60%, and that just creates a much smaller pool of women who would even consider entering this type of work. It's merely a scattershot theory based on rote observation, but it would explain why Brass Rail and other Toronto clubs seem dominated by hardened 30-somethings, even more so these days than in years past.
Anyway, getting back to CP on this night, absolutely no one piqued my interest for a dance. I think the $5 cover here is truly not worth it most nights. I had one beer and walked out of there having experienced as much excitement as one would experience for visiting a public library if one were trying to kill 30 minutes before a movie.
