Bottom 10% of clubs I've visited
Nothing to see here. Not a single dancer on stage the whole night, and just 2 ladies walking around.
Let's recap: I walked in around 10.30pm. Staff was nice and friendly and informed me about the rules (which should really be common sense, like "do not throw up on furniture", "do not undress dancers who sit with you" - didn't they say they cater to a "mature clientele"?) Cover charge was 3000yen, no drinks included. I was disappointed to see only 2 dancers walking around inside, since on the door it says 40. The stage remained empty for the entire time of my visit. I soon was approached by a dancer who was nice and friendly, but appearance-wise maybe picked the wrong profession. I asked where all the dancers are and she said that there had been 5 more but they went home at 9.30pm because they believed that no further customers would arrive. Hmmmm.
Finally we agreed on a private dance, which at 25$ seems good value for Japan. One annoying thing about this club is that they do not only "accept US dollars", but they demand them, which means that if you are Japanese or a non-American foreigner, you will first have to change your Japanese currency into USD at the club for 15% commission. The dance itself was okay I guess, I just didn't enjoy it very much because the dancer didn't appeal to me much. After it finished, she started arguing that I had promised two dances, that two dances were a minimum etc. (bullshit) so I went for dances with the only other dancer (dances were a little above average). At midnight (!) the club closed and I found out that there were 3 more dancers who had been in VIP. I had a very short conversation with one of them, but it was closing time.
Yes, it was clean and everybody was friendly, but the overall experience was quite disappointing since basically there were no dancers. I walked in with lots of cash but I barely got to spend 150$. Would not go here again.
