A tale of two clubs
I have been a customer at Top Hat since the days when it was the original Fantasyland back in the old 42 Drive-In theater concession stand/projection building when it was pretty much out in the middle of a cornfield (until now when it's just north of the Route 42 and 30 interchange). Back in those days it was more of a juice bar with a mix of dancers of all ages and body types and more mileage in the Vip's. Now it is generally 20-something, with fit and toned bodies with many who can do some amazing pole work. The sister club, Fantasyland West, which I believe is still owned by the same person is out in a cornfield in the country now that the Route 30 bypass is taking most of the traffic away from its front door and the dancers there are more mature, and curvier, but very willing to please. At both clubs VIPs are $25 each, but at Top Hat there are typically at least 5-10 dancers working and all do a two-song set on the stage where at Fantasyland there's usually only two or three dancers working, and they rarely ever dance on the stage. Fantasyland generally has more mileage in VIP (in fact 1 dancer I've seen a couple times has used the line "let me know what your limits are or if I cross a boundary"). Now that it is considered a private club, and has no alcohol (being in a dry township) they don't have to wear pasties, where Top Hat dancers wear nipple tape. Top Hat is open weeknights until 2:30, where Fantasyland says they're open till 1 but often closes at 11 or 12 if there are no customers. Top Hat being on a main highway has a lot more customers so it's sometimes harder to get the attention of a particular dancer. It's interesting how the personality of the clubs has essentially flip-flopped in the 20 or so years that I've then going. A good time can be had at either one as long as you know what to expect.
