Went to McDoogals on a Wednesday night- my first visit. I wanted to check it out because of the positive reviews- amont the highest ratings in the mid-Atlantic region. My first impression was odd- a very "rural" looking club (inside and out), with the main dance area actually "corraled" within the bar. The stage is narrow, probably 3 feet by 20 feet. $13 cover during the week, BYOB . $3 sodas, set-ups. 2 song sets, ending up nude. But after being there a while, I warmed up and had a good time. Dancers were mostly young and friendly, rated 7-9, and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Tipping occurs after the set, when the dancer "makes the rounds" of all of the patrons. If you like to see nude or topless women "hanging out", this is a great club. Many of the dancers remained "out of costume" long after their stage sets., and talked to the customers. The lap dances are in a side area but it is quite public. But the dances were fairly high energy- nude, with the usual "can't touch where it counts" rules. $30 for one, and some dancers give a multi-dance discount. YMMV. Not a lot of "hustle"- fairly low key. I had 2 from 2 artistes, both good contact and nude, without the "towel" that some reviewers describe; some dancers did use a towel. (The reason for the towel probably isn't "cooties", but it may prevent you from going home with "snail tracks" on your pants- the voice of experience..) Anyway, this is a great club. Would rate it even higher if you didn't have to BYOB, and if the private dances were a little more private. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.
