Same Girls, Crappy New Location

I was shocked to find out that my old standby had moved to a new location. I’ve been going to FD’s for years. Was in town for a business trip and decided to stop by only to find out it moved to a new location. The new place is still in midtown but is WAY smaller. Everything about the new location is tight. There’s a small bar when you first walk in with a couple of dancers who only have enough room to stand. There’s very little room to hang out there. The main dance room is behind some faux walls. There’s a main stage in the center with tables and chairs all around. The lap dances occur on banquettes along the walls. Unfortunately, given how little space there is your knees are bumping up against patrons chairs when you get your dance. There’s no privacy at all. You get a little bit in the corners, but those areas are cordoned off for bottle service. There’s an area in the back that I didn’t see for private VIP. The going rate there starts at $650 for 30 mins so I wasn’t willing to give it a try. The only saving grace here is that all the girls are the same (for now at least). I recognized several girls I’d seen at the old location. Mostly Eastern European/Russian although there were several Latin Americans in the mix too. From that standpoint nothing has changed, but you just can’t get the same dances as you used to. No room for you and the girl to get more comfortable. And you can hear other guys talking while you’re getting your dance as they’re sitting a few feet from you. One of the dancers told me that the owners are even thinking about getting rid of the banquettes and having the dances in chairs. If that happens, this place is doomed. I can’t imagine there are enough guys who just want to drink and watch or do VIP to justify the rent or keep the dancers happy. I’m hoping these are just new location pains and that changes are coming because the quality of the girls is still good.
