Not as good as I remember

I visited establishment about 5 years ago and it was fantastic so when I returned to New York I had to make my way over to Gallaghers 2000 again. I'm not sure if it was the day (went on a Thursday this time, I believe it was Friday or Saturday last time), but it was really slow and most of the club was empty. I took a taxi to get to the club and paid the (I think) $10 cover.

The stage is surrounded by the bar which makes tipping individual dancers impossible until they're done. I believe they rotate every 2 or 3 songs. Then they all walk around the bar asking the bar patrons for tips. This was a bit offputting because I hadn't even gotten the attention of the bartender and I was already being asked for tips.

I probably found only a couple really attractive girls but getting their attention was impossible. I ended up getting a few dances for $20. The lapdance area was upstairs but not private at all. It's a bunch of single seat cushioned chairs all lined up next to each other along both sides of the room. Make sure you tell your dancer how many dances you want or else they may keep going and charge you for all of them at the end.
