Prime Time Visit

Visited Bourbon Street for the first time with a buddy from out of town. Did not know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised there was no cover charge. The dancer to patron ratio was high. Surprising for a Friday night. This led to much attention from the dancers - too much attention, actually.

Like other New Jersey clubs, the bar surrounds the stage where the girls dance. There are couches around the perimeter of the club. And there is a small semi private side room for lap dances. Bourbon Street is a bikini bar. Which means there is no nudity on stage. Sometimes a dancer will expose her top while up close with you.

The way it works, the dancers walk up to you if you are sitting on one of the couches and do quick 5 or 10 second dance for you. And you give them $1 or $2. I'm not sure why they bother, but that's the way it's structured. It's a great deal for the patron. You'll get $1 dances all night. I should point out that all the girls here are very young - like early 20s. Some guys like that. I prefer mine older. But I will give them ratings of 8 - 10. I came across one Colombian chick who took a liking to me, and I spent most of the night with her in the bar area, and in the back room where $20 gets you a dance. She was friendly, talkative. She was a little too transaction oriented for my taste and sucked quite a bit of $$ out of me, not only for dances but for drinks, which are more expensive if you are with a girl at the time you order.
