An unusually boring visit

Don’t let the review title fool you, it’s still Follies in all its goodness, but I got bored. Plenty of dancers to go around but not really anything that just reached out and grabbed my attention. The first dancer that came around was definitely not my type physically, as she was a pretty good sized girl. Her attitude and conversation were outstanding. The dances were the best of several that I got this afternoon. I wish I’d have just stuck with her for the duration. She had a Spanish name that started with Esp.

The next few that came around were at best ok but nothing more than that....by Follies standards that is. By other air dance club standards they would be exceptional. There was even more ladies of color, both black and Latina, than I’ve seen before. I don’t know if the white gals are just abandoning the place or maybe the high tops is the wrong place to sit. I’m not in here that often but I only saw a couple that I recognized. I also saw a lot of what I considered to be outside the average dancer weight range, both over and under weight, a good variety except for the middle range. Diamond was among the bunch, but I tire of her rhetoric/same old things she says...I’m sure you know her routine, once was cute, not anymore.

As always, one’s mindset can affect the time they have so maybe that’s it. I had full intentions of finding that unicorn dancer mixture of gorgeous, perfect and great attitude that I’d take home to mama, but head to the VIP with her. Didn’t happen. It’s happened before and next visit will likely be great again. Just an off day for whatever reason.
