Disappointed

A few years ago DV8 (and its sister club Rose City Strip) was one of my favorite clubs in Portland. The girls were above average and private dances were some of the better ones available in the area in price, privacy, and mileage. Ever since they upped the PD prices to $40 or 3/$100, the appeal has dropped for me. But my most recent visit it wasn't just prices. My first complaint is not DV8's fault, but the next door fast food restaurant that used to be a Mexican place has now been converted into a very popular burger joint. I made the mistake of pulling into the driveway off Powell right next to DV8 like I always had, only to find a line of cars stopped in the lot waiting to get to the drive-through window. There was no way to get around them, and I couldn't back out of the driveway due to the heavy traffic on Powell, so I had to sit there in the drive through line for over 10 minutes before I could finally get past these waiting cars and into the DV8 parking lot. Lesson learned. As I was walking into the club, I saw a couple of heavier girls outside smoking. After I got inside I saw a heavier girl on stage and another one at the bar. None of them were BBW, but still nothing like the firm spinners I normally expect to see there. The club wasn't very busy, so one of the girls latched onto me when I really just wanted to sit at the bar and wait to see if any girls caught my eye. She was a bit aggressive with pushing PD's, but I just wasn't interested and she kind of killed the mood for me. After 4 girls on stage that were not my type, I gave up and bailed. This is the first time I have ever been to DV8 without seeing at least 2 or 3 girls I would be interested in. I'll give them another try sometime, but probably not on a Sunday day shift.
