Unless you've driven through Florida and stopped at the only strip club in the world where the cafeteria is fully lit while the dancers fight for attention against scrambled eggs and hashbrowns (Sam's Hofbrau at least got the lighting right on their restaurant conversion), then you know that every other strip club is a dark room where ambient reds, blues, greens, and an occasional hologram-spotlight help set the mood.

The Strip Joint is no different, but fortunately the DJ spins records rather than annoy the shit out of the customers, as so many others do--constantly reminding customers to tip and buy drinks and lap dances. Nope, none of that here--just good music from that booth. In fact, he played two white zombie songs for one dancer recently--the first time in years at a club that I've heard anything bedsides crunk, bounce, or mumble rap.

The girls will do a bikini dance for $10, which plays out in a kinda short song, like at most clubs. For those precious two or three minutes however you will get so worked up that you'll want another. They will usually ask once, quite gently, if you would like to purchase a VIP dance--$75 for a topless 15 mins or $120 for a fully-nude 20 mins (if i remember correctly.) *price subject to change depending on day of the week.

While the dance booths are not private at all--just six-feet-long booths separated by four-foot-tall dividing walls--the lighting is strip club lighting. ¿So who cares!
