A Pleasant Surprise

While getting burgers at the Vortex, my buddy suggested that we check out the famous Clermont Lounge. I thought he was out of his mind and tried to talk him out of it, I even got on here and pulled up reviews and read them to him. The more I read the more I was thinking...well f**k it, why not...worst case we would just come right back out and then we could say we have been to Clermont Lounge (even though it was never on my bucket list to start with).

We got in around 9, cover was $10. The bar area was packed, with only 4 seats left. The first dancer was not in bad shape, but she was obviously past her prime time. I got a beer and thought, maybe this isn’t as bad as we anticipated. Soon after that dancer got off stage, I had to focus on the baseball game on tv instead of what is happening on stage....the dancers were aggressive too, we got approached by 3 dancers asking for dances within 15 min of getting there.

There were a few female customers sitting around the bar, most of them were with their husbands/boyfriends. There was one blonde sitting alone that caught my attention, I thought she had to be a customer. She has a pretty face and far away looking eyes. I ended up shifting my attention from the baseball game to her, I mean heck, what else am I supposed to look at?
