Great Facilities - Disappointing Day Shift
I'm semi-regular around the high-end Detroit clubs, but I've been looking for a change of scenery lately. Last week, I decided to pop into BT's Dearborn for the first time. Unfortunately, it wasn't much of a trip.
I arrived around 4 pm on a Wednesday. The facilities were nice, but the club was dead. BT's is a smaller club than say Flight Club or Penthouse, but is still plenty spacious. The layout was reminiscent of Landing Strip, but the lighting, cleanliness, and ambiance actually seemed superior to me. In short, it projects a higher-end vibe even in a mid-size, mid-tier club.
When I came in, there was a single overweight dancer occupying the two-pole center stage. Two other dancers chatted with each other at the bar. Maybe three customers were visible (one at the bar, one at a floor table, and one in a booth along the back wall). None were sitting with a dancer that I could see, and I couldn't blame them based on first impressions. (One of the chatters eventually approached me, but copped an attitude when I declined her company.)
