This is a typical French Quarter club, in that there are some attractive women, some that are just "average", and a lot of very nice accoutrements. The setting is plush and highly mirrored, the drinks are faily large (though expensive; but they're only as expensive as any other alcohol in a club in New Orleans). The clientele was not packed with under-paying construction workers, as I had expected, and the situation wasn't as wide-open as I had hoped. Rick's has a generally positive reputation across the country, but this particular club is a bit lower standard than in, say, Seattle, where Rick's is the flagship club. This one has a big neon sign and all the appearance of being a positive experience, but it's just too staid and straightforward. Part of that is New Orleans itself, where the strip clubs haven't been high in national comparison since the 1980s. That hasn't changed after Katrina, either. So, Rick's is just an average experience. Was there on weekend and weekday nights.
