Not Impressed, Will not be back

I was in Kansas City for a few days on business, and had some time to kill so I thought I would check out Shady Lady based on the reviews I read. It is in what seemed to be not the best part of town, but I proceeded anyway. Options in Kansas City are very limited, and it is by far the worst major US city I've been to for strip clubs. I had heard about the strict no touching rules, but I thought I would check it out for myself. I arrived at about 4pm on a Tuesday, and upon walking in, I felt like I was in a friends basement, not a strip club. Definitely not the typical strip club atmosphere. Music was played on a jukebox, and there were times when no music was playing. I walked up to the bar after coming in and ordered a cocktail, which I was surprised to hear how cheap it was (~$5 each for mixed drink). There were about 15 patrons in the establishment, but only 2 strippers, and a waitress who was working both as a waitress and a stripper. The 3 girls were 6-7s, but nothing spectacular. The waitress was by far the most attractive. Apparently they were short staffed this day. I sat down and watched the one girl perform, while the other was with a group of guys who appeared to be regulars as they were friendly and joking with the girl. The two girls that were working never came over and approached me once, they appeared to be occupied with the other guys, although I didn't see any of them get a private dance. In regards to the dances, I don't even know how much they cost as I didn't have a chance to get one, although I might not have anyway even if I was approached. The stage dancing was average at best, didn't seem like the girls were taking it seriously and were just going through the motions. Overall the best part by far was the cheap drinks and no cover charge. I stayed for about 45 minutes, and then went on my way. Will definitely not be back if I am ever in KC again.
